hampl's natural animal medicines
"homeopathic" formula Homeopathics have no smell nor taste to them.
Homeopathic Remedies can be in the form of: tiny poppy pills, granules, tablets or in clear liquid form (which will have alcohol added to it as a preservative)
The most important thing to remeber is that it is not the amount of liquid or pills given each time but rather the repeat(frequency) a homeopathic remedy is given. Less time inbetween each dose will give a quick response in acute stress. How many pills or drops given each time is less important, however the frequency of repeat dosing.
For Example A dose of homeopathic (clear liquid) remedy could be - three to five white pills or tablets or 2 to five drops - could be considered one (1) dose.
DOSING using tiny PILLS (or tablets ) Put a couple of tiny pills in gum or pouch of mouth for the saliva to absorb / touch the remedy. (if tissue salts tablets crush first) Or alternatively, can stir a couple of pills or crush tablets into water bowl, trough or food. - Usually the white pills or tablets are more suitable for the medium or larger animals as they have larger mouths, making it easier to administer orally.
DOSING using LIQUID A dose: Three to five drops.
Put on top of head or back of shoulders on the body (wet area with drops and pat into fur), or add to meals, or put in animal's water bowl or trough.
Alternatively, give a short squirt orally (if free from alcohol) made up from one pill from your bottle and combined with filtered water. This is best for small animals, rather than using the pill directly.
Usually this method is less stressful and easier for administering to cats and other small species, including wildlife.
BIRDS AND FARM ANIMALS Put several drops or a few pills in water trough once a week. (Does not matter if other animals share homeopathic treatments - only the ones that need it will benefit from it).
If you received homeopathic PILLS, then you can make the pills into a LIQUID medication for easier dosing.
Refer To: EXAMPLE DIAGRAM BELOW this text.
... Put 1 poppy pill (or a pinch if granules) into a empty dosage bottle or glass / cup or oral syringe, add some filtered water to the container / bottle / syringe, and gently succuss (bang) the dosage formula against palm of your hand 50 times, then use this to medicate your animal. (i.e. short squirt orally or several drops on the head. May need to wet spot on head slightly with the remedy, pat in and reapply remedy. It needs to contact the skin.)
N.B. The pill does not need to fully dissolve nor do they need to swallow it - as the remedy is on the outside of the pill.
The TIME (or frequency of dosing) between each dose is given, is more important than the amount of liquid or pills given each time.
When do I need to do frequent Dosing for my pet?
ANY TIME if the animal is showing acute symptoms and /or stress. Give the selected remedy more frequently.
“FREQUENT” Dosing will give fast relief:
For example: Give 3 to 4 treatment (doses) approx every 10 MINUTES between each dose. Most often, by the second or third dose, there should be a change – which may be as simple as being much more relaxed and comfortable.
Allow your pet to have a good sleep.
If no immediate relief, then go onto the next remedy.

"herbal" formula Herbs are always a brown liquid, with a strong smell and taste to them.
Herbal Formulas can be in the form of: Bottles of brown liquid, capsules (powdered herbs), brown tablets, dry herbs or tea, fresh herbs from the garden or nursery
Herbs that WE supply are ALL as liquid.
N.B. Please refer to your hampl bottle of Herbal Formula for dosage and freqency.
Herbs have a strong smell and taste, compared to homeopathic medicines (no smell or taste, as clear liquid or white pills). If you buy herbs, the best form is as a liquid or dry leaf (make a tea), as liquid herbs work faster and go through the blood stream much quicker.
Herbal tablets need to be crushed and given in food, which is then processed through the stomach. This is far less effective and you would need more herbal tablets to get the same quick results as you get with liquid herbal dosing.
Refer to our herbal formulas for recommended frequency of repeat dosing during the day.
N.B. Always dilute herbal formulas before giving to pets / animal.
How to give herbal drops:
INSTRUCTIONS FOR DOSAGE AMOUNTS WILL BE PROVIDED WITH REMEDIES.
Small to Med - Med to Large dog : Mix in food and hand feed small pieces at a time, then feed as normal. Can use mixed in some "goats" yogurt (not cows) and offer, or use an oral Syringe, giving small amounts orally until dose is given. Small animals : you could try adding to meals or some pink salmon meat (use human-grade salmon please). Horse / farm animals: add drops to food or onto a piece of carrot, apple or bread and hand feed herbs this way. Unless you have a supply of dry herbs, you can add with feed.
Or
if your pet or farm animal choose not to eat their food when the liquid herbs have been added, alternatively you can dilute herbs in some some fluid, such as goats yogurt (not cow) which is most suitable for dogs, farm animals or horses.
Small animals (e.g. cat) Try mixing some herbal drops into some pink salmon juice or try with a teaspoon of goats yogurt (not cow)
Offer this in a bowl or give orally using an "oral syringe" from the pharmacy.
... slowly squirt small amounts until the recommend pet dose is given. |
